I have now have a new favorite portable notebook the HP Elite 9740 Ultrabook. Here are my reason:
1. It weighs about 3.6 pounds and you can’t believe the difference from my Thinkpad 5.8 pounds. That doesn’t seem like a big diffence but after a day of lugging them from meeting to meeting. It is a huge difference.
2. It has a VGA port so I can easily connect to a projector or large screen tv. And it has lots of other ports. Something you don’t find on many ultrabooks.
3. Spill-resistant keyboard with drain hole so no worry if you spill your coffee on it.
4. Oh, I can’t forget, it boots up in 21 seconds.
5. It has a backlit keyboard, that is really nice when you are on a airplane.
6. The 14″ LED screen is amazing. I like it better than the 15″ on my Thinkpad. And if it works for an old guy like me, I think it will work great for you.
With a notebook like this do I really need a IPad or Tablet? Well maybe for playing games.
